CCIS’s Family & Children’s Services (FCS) division is searching for an Engagement Coordinator and is accepting applications from qualified job seekers! This opportunity is for 40 hours per week, working occasional weekends and evenings.
NOTE: This is an 8-month temporary position, beginning in March 2020
CCIS aims to develop Newcomer children’s English language and social-emotional skills, through experiential Social Emotional Learning. The skills developed through this program can then be used in school and community settings, supporting Newcomer children’s ability to succeed.
CCIS requires an Engagement Coordinator to support the inherent resilience of Newcomer children in a culturally responsive manner.
Reporting to the Director of Family & Children’s Services, our Engagement Coordinator leads the delivery of programming to help engage recently arrived Newcomer children/families. The Engagement Coordinator is responsible for a variety of programming, including the Connect Calgary Program and the Children’s Summer Program. These programs, in partnership with the City of Calgary Community & Neighborhood Services, offer recreational and educational activities that enhance social-emotional wellbeing, school readiness and literacy.
