CCIS is pleased to partner with Happipad, a home sharing initiative designed to address housing affordability and reduce isolation.

We are currently looking for hosts, so keep reading to find out more.

*Average income $650 per month.

  • WHAT HAPPIPAD IS ALL ABOUT

    Happipad is about helping someone in your community find a place to call home. By renting a spare bedroom to a person with shared values and interests, you can enjoy a fun and supportive home environment.

    We are with you every step of the way!

  • HOW IT WORKS | HOST

    As a host, you provide at least one (1) spare, furnished bedroom in your home.

    You are comfortable to share common areas; your kitchen, yard, laundry facilities, and washrooms.

    You set the availability dates for your room rental based on what works best for you.  Rental terms are from 3-12 months at a time.

    Rentals are fixed and guests must move out or renew their contract at the end of the agreed lease.

HOW IT WORKS | RENTERS

As a renter (guest), you are an independent responsible adult looking for an affordable home to share with another person or family.

Your rental term can be from 3-12 months at a time.  You must move out or renew your lease at the end of the agreed upon time.

For everyone’s peace of mind, a thorough background check will be conducted, and you will be matched with someone who enjoys the same things you do!

As a renter you will have access to a furnished bedroom and common areas including the kitchen, living area, and a bathroom.

Your host will not be responsible for providing food, driving, or cleaning. In fact, we encourage renters to share in meal prep and assist with household chores.

AS A HOST YOU WILL:

  1. Create a host profile on the Happipad portal.  (Click here.)
  2. Interview and select a matching guest. The choice will be yours.  All guests are thoroughly screened, and background checks are completed.
  3. A contract will be developed outlining your shared living arrangements and determining  house rules.
  4. Share your home and earn extra income.
