OVERVIEW

COVID -19 has created an emergency like none other and our governments, health authorities and municipalities are establishing plans and supports to address this situation. We believe there are vulnerable populations in every community - including Calgary and area. In order to support these individuals with a focused needs-analysis and strategic support, CCIS has created a Crisis Response Protocol for Immigrants and Refugees.

The Response Team has been designed in collaboration with our Community Partners to address the most complex cases of high need individuals and families.

Through a centralized intake, the response teams will conduct individual assessments and create coordinated service plans to address immediate needs through direct resources, community referrals, and logistical supports. Areas of focus include Resettlement, Family Violence, Mental Wellness, Health, Housing, Finances and Food Security.

If you know of a newcomer client that requires additional support or guidance in navigating the existing systems and resources available, please contact us at .
