Program: Mentorship for Integration

Duration: 4 months / weekly communication



Mentorship for Integration is a volunteer-based program that matches skilled newcomers with local professionals who share a similar employment background. The program provides immigrant participants with the necessary connections, information, and cross-cultural understanding to ease their transition into the Canadian workplace. Mentees will receive guidance on how to secure sustainable employment in a profession that matches their education, experience, and expertise. Both mentors and mentees will receive orientations and guidebooks to ensure the development of a professional relationship.

The ideal mentor will have 3 – 5 years of professional work experience in Canada. Interested applicants should complete an application and submit a resume by email to




Skills / Qualifications:


* Recently retired or currently working in established roles in professional field

* Canadian experience in professional field for 3+ years

* Familiarity with path of career development in the above field

* Familiarity with current market demands and accreditation processes

* Ability to provide guidance and support

* Cross cultural sensitivity

* Understanding and compliance with CCIS policies

* Attendance at initial program orientation
